    Explorer Skill Tree and Requirements

The following descriptions are 'as written', if and exactly how they actually work is still being discovered.

It's difficult to see from the heady heights of level 50 so here are the level requirements for the skill tree:

    Manuscript
    Level 26

    Name: Fearless Hiker
Effect: Shorten the search time for all adventures by 5%.

    Name: Lucky Detour
Effect: Raises a chance to find Granite on Medium treasure searches to 8%.

    Name: Pilgrimage
Effect: Shortens the search time for Long treasure searches by 5%.

    Name: Mountain Boots
Effect: Shortens the search time for all treasure searches by 3%.

    Tome
Level 31 - Requires 5 Books in the previous level

    Name: Powder Sack
Effect: Find 8% more Saltpeter on Very Long treasure searches.

    Name: Offbeat Roads
Effect: Increase the chances of finding Titanium Ore on Long treasure searches by 5%.

    Name: Wild Determination
Effect: Find 30% more Map parts on Adventure searches.

    Name: Extended Weekend
Effect: Shortens the search time for Medium treasure searches by 5%.

    Tome
Level 36 - Requires 10 Books in the previous levels

    Name: Loot Wagon
Effect: Find 8% more Granite on Medium treasure searches.

    Name: Sturdy Shovel
Effect: Find 3% more loot on all Treasure searches.

    Name: Mistwalker
Effect: Increase the chance of finding Saltpeter on Very Long treasure searches to 5%.

    Name: Travel Expenses
Effect: Reduce the cost of all Adventure searches by 10%.

    Codex
Level 41 - Requires 15 Books in the previous levels

    Name: Hero Ore
Effect: Find 8% more Titanium ore on Long treasure searches.

    Name: Trouble-seeker
Effect: Gives a 10% chance of finding two Adventures at once.

    Name: Sabbatical
Effect: Shortens the search time for Very Long treasure searches by 5%.

    Name: Pathfinder
Effect: Shorten the search time for all Searches by 5%.

    Codex
Level 45 - Requires 20 Books in the previous levels

    Name: Sophisticated Pillager
Effect: Gives a 30% chance of finding an Adventure with bonus rewards. Complete the Adventure to receive 30% greater rewards.

    Name: Streetwise Negotiator
Effect: Grants 30% chance for a Treasure bonus quest. A bonus quest rewards Granite, Saltpeter or Titanium Ore if found with the Long or Very Long treasure search.

    Name: Travelling Erudite
Effect: Find buffs on the "Artefact search". (Allows the explorer to use "Artefact search" - as a result he finds buffs and items that improves your city's productivity.)

    Name: Bean-A-Colada
Effect: Find Magic Beans or Guild Coins on the "Rarity search". (Allows the explorer to use "Rarity search" - as a result he finds rare resources.)

Please note: No Books have been added, the % increases are all the initial values. A maximum of 21 Books may be used, much like the Geologist each skill in the first four tiers can hold three Books and only one skill in the top tier can be chosen to hold 1.

With regards to the Sophisticated Pillager, do we know if the 30% greater rewards are going to have a multiplicative effect with a premium account ??

Hero Ore - from kodex - increase titan ore
Mistwalker - from tome - chance for Saltpeter
Powder Sack - from tome - increase Saltpeter
Saltpeter drop from rare adventure.. -> high price after will some reasonable way to spend this.. or not??
Artefact search - 1 fish or sendvith or irma is too weak.. this is last skill.. i know about chance for rainbow but this is too weak vs treasure search...
Sophisticated Pillager - bonus quest give experience but this is useless for lvl 50(you dont get starcoints..), bonus quest is good..
Streetwise Negotiator - too weak bonus for final skill

The one thing that puzzles me is the choices we have available on the higher tiers. We should be able to choose to increase the chance for anything on treasure searches. Limiting it to only the least desirable items is just not very smart.

I do not see that anyone will ever use a tome to increase they explorers chance to find titan ore, let alone codex's to find more salpeter. Noone wants salpeter as it is.....

Give us an increase to granite, and then we are talking. I know that we have it at medium level, but who wants to send out their explorers every 6 hours?

I think some feedback on the level requirements for the different skills is sorely needed: http://forum.tsotesting.com/threads/...1738#post21738

Explorer science system on savage scouts

Hello, does anyone know how the science system will work on savage scouts ? For example one skill I saw on a wiki is: "Shorten the search time for all Treasure Searches by 3%", so, if my maths is right, for a normal scout it will shorten the short search time by about 10 minutes. Will it shorten the time for a savage scout also for 10 minutes or will it shorten the time by only 5 minutes ?
Iolanthe do u happen to know the answer to that ?
