Science System Quests for Spending Books.

I just got these quests on the live server and didn't get them while playing during test server. How did I miss this. Anyways. I'm very outraged and upset over the requirements.

    OMG.

I'm on the quest for "Mastery" subquest for "Vocational Training" Chain quest.

Invest 11 codex for one of your Geologists?!?!

Seriously? I am not investing and didn't invest 11 in one of my geo.

To complete this quest, I have to either refund my books, or spec a totally new geo to do this??
WHY would I want to do this?? This game doesn't offer us choices on how to spend our books? We're forced to spend 11???

This quest needs to be fixed to spend at least 4.

Since codex in the long run is very expensive, we should be more conservative in how we spend our books. PLEASE fix this?!!!!

I do not want to get books refunded. Expensive to use gems. Expensive to lose 50% of my books. Expensive to spend books AGAIN on a second geo.

WTF?? I'm so pissed at whoever designed this quest. Can I beat somebody with a Bat?!

It's bad enough the books cost a lot and take forever to produce after the first specialist is maxed out. NOW you want us to spec another??

It would have been nice to know ahead of time these quests. For those who already maxed out a few geos. Now they're given this quest and get screwed over by it since this was introduced "AFTER" the fact. Had you introduced these quests when you gave us the Geo Tree, it might not be a big deal.

In other video games, when such things happen, they give you "FREE respecs" They refund your points and offer free respecs.

You guys need to give us our books back to do these new quests related to geos.

Another example of developers who do not play this game on live.

Oh yeah, I got furious about seeing this *shiiiit* quest as well. This is absolute total stupidity from the BB dev team. Good job there, idiots!

Originaly (the first version of science) we needed to spend 5 books on one the exact lower level of skills to unlock the above level. It would force us to always spend the same amounts of books on every level... we pointed out it's a bad design, you (BB) have changed it, thank god, so we just need to spend ANY books on ANY of the lower tiers to unlock the next one. That gives us some freedom in our book investments (which is good).
Now you give us a quest that forces us to do EXACTLY the thing which was corrected. You! The one who designed this! What is your IQ? 65? Are you an imbecile or just plain lazy? Probably both...

We ranted about the bad design of exponential books cost increase (in terms of production TIME needed). We stated that in current situation, we don't want to spend our books at all. And instead of adressing that issue, you give us quests which are trying to FORCE us to spend the books, the most idiotic way.

It could be a side quest. Then we would be able to simply erase it from our quest book and continue playing happily (most of the players would do that, that speaks for how "great" quest it is).
But you made it a main quest. Without a slightest clue.
Now what? I know many people who simply decided to ignore the whole science bullshit (no surprise). The quest is impossible to complete for some people. For me the only way I see is to spend 2500+ gems for reseting the skills - i.e. first spend the books as I am ordered to complete the "*@#!%quest$#&^", then reset it via gems. Awesome quest, forcing me to throw 2500 gems out of the window.

    Fix this!
Then fire your quest designer! Or make him to play the game first.

    ....

I agree. does not plan to spend 10 volumes of ''the fat man'', it is not necessary for his development. but the task is at least stupid!!!!!
    3-6 would be sufficient..
    FIX IT !!!!

    I agree.

Asking players to spend books in a fully unintelligent manner is both insulting to the player and very unflattering to the developers.

It now appears that we are being penalized for using our brains and choosing our own routes to the top-tier skills.

What you going to do next? Reward people for building normal residences when at lvl 50? Reward those saving material costs by only using cheap fields? Reward people for putting nobles near stores and production buildings far away?

Why do you keep adding quests that are un-viable? FairyTale castle, probably only one in three built one, the rest just borrow someone else's and leave their quest incomplete (150k gc build costs vs 500 gems reward). Geo Skills, not worth touching if you have already skilled one or more. Explorer Skills, debatable though I'm not spending even one manuscript there yet.
