    Persistence of TSO (list of things to be considered)

    Due to recent BB's thread (link), about possible approach to convert TSO into different, supported technology, here is list of ideas and suggestions:

    As per lot of things behind, available to see only from the developer's side (backstage) point of technology to pick might be different than common player could think. Probably BB have already some tools, frameworks etc. to handle that game creation what are binded with Flash. Starting from this, it's not only about "rewriting", it require many things to switch. But ok, world wide company should cope with. HTML5, that may be a password - but probably only Steve would tell us how long.

    Initially would be expected only to successfully have it working is same range as is currently (from content point of view).

    But if there really, would be some opportunity to improve, add smth due to wider technology span, the following things would be requested (my personal):
    • Increasing maximum guild members limit
    • Adding access to provision house from adventure map, or smth similar to reduce necessary jumping between islands (wasting time)
    • Adding more functionality to Tavern - to allow sending specialist, group, setting them etc.
    • Adding more options to Mayor’s House, to be able to manage all our island from there. Have smth like control panel, preview on buildings quantities (working, not working, types and totals from it etc.)
    • Would be nice to have available ghost general from expedition battle planning tools in normal adventures (troops required)
    • Roofs colors should be distinct as is from building lvl 1-5 (blue, green, pink etc. sometimes not fit to all I think)
    • Expeditions - PvP system, rankings not working well in opinion of most players and it seems be true, so at least would be good to give more attractive awards. But concept is wrong from the grounds, so please play The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom, even with all DLCs and maybe You will find there how it should look. Generally there are lot of details to make as it was in that PC version, what would enjoy the players.
    • In-game avatar (player's face) to be set up.
    • Look at the first dev diaries (i.a. [Dev Diary] 20/11/2012, figure out what You have missed because of technology limitations, what has stopped You.
    • Content to be removed, not wanted by players - please review, make some survey.
    • Adding counter of general's instant recovery on the adventures.
    • Adding optional night mode (like Sandman’s Powder) with ambient lights from windows of the buildings, atmospheric.
    • Optional battle report receiving (possibility to turn off).
    • Optional general's landing message on main island (currently it crash the game).
    • Adding more adventure slots (due to lot of generals in game, separate expeditions at least).
    • Adding 1-day premium available for gems in merchant offer.
    • Extending the guild market's offer (more attractive jackpot's items).
    • Guild bank reconsidering.
    • Additional function in provision house, barracks etc. to move all same products from list (to beginning/end), and cancel all same products queues.
    • Science system skills tree should have no books limitation (maybe in all games it work in same way but we mustn't stick with it), it's never to late to learn.
    • Backstage videos/ads etc. to obtain new players eg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owd2Yl_88sc
    • Presence statuses possible to set (Active, Away, Do not disturb, Invisible).

    Players have experienced lot of shortcomings from the studio, hence we have so limited confidence. Maybe it need also to revise HR, check who was connected to such as successful project at the beginning, who made it so beneficial.

    Don't get overwhelmed.

    List updated. Please give more ideas/feedback/remarks/notices here, whatever, join :-) Testing forum is good to connect our global community. So many minds would even rewrite that game for You BB to help I think

    Any news from battlefield maybe? What is current progress of game conversion?

    Please make the friends/guild list sortable to online-first, name alphabetically a-z or z-a and a search option would be nice you you don't spend hours looking for someone who you want to buuf back,.. etc..
    Also a toggle switch between Who's online and all would be nmice, in that case it should be possible to see in a instant who is online, in the way sorted you have..

    Please make the geologist and explores selectable so you can order them all with one click, now you have to click each one separate end order them seperate.. (not funny when you have a lot of explorers and geo's .. Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) comes to mind..
